You have chosen to broaden your physical training and exercise beyond your regular methods. Let me explain my philosophy more on Private Training.
It’s important to understand that there are no ‘quick fixes’. The art, science and process of building your skills and ideal physical shape may take time, and how long is uncertain. My goal, no matter the length of our time together, is to create a journey of exploration, discovery, understanding and enjoyment! What you can expect from our sessions – As mentioned, there are no ‘quick fixes’. Even if we make a breakthrough in a session, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is now hard-wired as a learned skill. It at first means that now you’re able to experience something that you can do that perhaps that you couldn’t do before. |

Our sessions will have levels of progression for skill and fitness level. Let me explain how we’ll structure them:
Initial: Expect an evaluation and measurement of fitness and the very basics of Muay-Thai or Boxing – stance, footwork and simple techniques like straight punches. You will get a good understanding of your own fitness strengths and weaknesses and recognize areas of opportunity. It is very likely that we’ll see a jump in skill in a single session but know that it’s just a glance at what is ready to be unleashed.
Sessions 2-3: You will come away with the same takeaways as the first session but you’ll come away with a better understanding of the basics. We’ll introduce more defensive options while still building a solid foundation. You will leave with a better understanding of how you can practice on your own and what kind of feedback to look out for to know how to practice efficiently.
Sessions 4-6: Same takeaways as 2-3 but to a much deeper degree. We’ll introduce different techniques and more defensive maneuvers. Signs of permanent improvement from previous sessions should show up more. Please keep in mind though to maintain your practice outside of our sessions, as skills may regress if not polished.
Sessions 7 onwards: You will have a more solid discipline to personal practice and acceptance of feedback. Coach-athlete relationship at this point is where I’ll have a better understanding of your receptiveness to different coaching methods. We’ll have an element of trust that can make for a better experience with an open exchange of ideas, experiences, feelings, etc.
Please note that these are general expectations. However, each journey is unique – our bodies learn differently. The most important and influencing factor that separates our journey from the next person is the willingness to put in the work. If the extra work is embraced and done often, the chances of achieving short-term goals and seeing your progression is greatly enhanced.
